Window film /glass film /reflective window film
VLT: The visible light, with wavelengths between 380nm-780nm, that is transmitted directly through a glazing system.
VLR: The visible light that is reflected by a glazing system.
Solar Energy Transmittance
The percent of total solar energy, that is reflected by a glazing system.
Solar Energy Absorptance
The percent of total solar energy, that is absorbed by a glazing system.
Infrared Rejected(780nm<)
Infra red light from the sunlight is only a portion of the solar spectrum which provides heat through a glazing system. It is important not to confuse infra red rejection with TSER (total solar energy rejected) which is the true indicator of how much solar energy will be blocked by glazing system.
Emissivity
A measure of a surface's ability to emit (reflect) long-wave infrared radiant heat energy (thermal heat, room temperature).
Emissivity varies from 0 to 1(0=no emittance, 1=100% emittance).
U-value (W/m² K)
A measure of the rate of heat loss from a building in Watts from on side of the glass to the other side, per square meter of glass, per 1° K(=1° C) difference in temperature between the two sides.
Shading Coefficient
The ratio compared between solar energy transmittance through windows with filmed glass and solar energy transmittance through clear, unshaded double strength glass, under the same condition.
Total Solar Energy Rejected
The reflection and absorption of total solar energy in the full solar wavelengths range (200nm-2500nm) falling on a glazing system.
